Identify if the leak is from a drain line or a water line, if possible.

If it is a water leak, locate line to see if there is a shut off for just the fixture leaking and shut the water off there.

For drain blockages, is it just one fixture blocked or is more than one fixture blocked and slow. (If more than one fixture is affected, you will have to call a drain opening company that has drain equipment.)
