TEAM Coaching Philosophy (in brief):

We believe that at the Pony league level the most important thing for the kids to learn is to enjoy the game of baseball. We believe that if this is a game they envision playing for a long time, then just like anything else, they should enjoy what they are doing. That’s why this staff stresses that this is still a time for them to have fun. Its a time to build friendships, build sportsmanship, and even more importantly, build knowledge. This is an age where they have the opportunity to learn so much. The game starts to change from little league; it now involves a bigger diamond, pick-offs, lead-offs, faster game-play and so many other new, exciting details. That’s why we believe that this team and this coaching staff have so much to offer to the 13-14 year old age group. We have a lot of baseball experience and knowledge to share with them in a positive manner.  We realize how much it means to a player when they not only respect the coach for his knowledge, but can also respect the way he presents it to them. We will stress the fundamentals and finer points of the game to make your child a better, savvier player.  We also believe there is a correct way to go about winning. This team has had a positive season each year we have been in existence and hopefully we can have another successful season this year!
